Embodied CO2 Reduction Effects of Composite Precast Concrete Frame for Heavily Loaded Long-Span Logistics Buildings

چکیده

For heavily loaded long-span (HLS) logistics buildings, embodied CO2 (ECO2) of a structural frame accounts for more than 80% the emissions entire building. To realize sustainable structure from perspective, an innovative construction method that reduces ECO2 is required. Through studies conducted over several years, we have developed SMART (Sustainable, Measurable, Attainable, Reliable, and Timely) steel connected composite precast concrete (CPC) significantly not only time cost but also ECO2. If applied to HLS reduction effects are expected be substantial. prove this, this study aims analyze CPC buildings. An building constructed with existing (PC) was selected as case project. Thereafter, typical PC girder redesigned using frame; then, analysis on quantity take-off resources, such form, rebar, steel, concrete, well production cost. As result analysis, in single frame, 730 kg-ECO2, which 9.52% emissions, reduced compared frame. girders project applied, relatively larger 465 ton-ECO2 will reduced. The results contribute securing stability, achieving leads unprecedented

Foam Concrete Precast Elements in Composite Concrete-GFRP Plate Girders

This paper is focused on using foam concrete as structural element in polymer-concrete composite plate girders. Trial mixes of foam concrete and different proportions of foam agent were considered to obtain the suitable mix that can be used as structural element in composite girders system. Details of the experimental investigations on foam concrete precast slabs and polymer-concrete composite ...

Precast Concrete Elements

Lattice-girder floor slabs and double-wall elements have been successfully used in building and industrial construction for decades. These precast elements of 50 – 70 mm thickness serve as permanent formwork for the subsequently added in-situ concrete creating a monolithic structure. The high prefabrication level allows the construction period to be significantly minimized. The main goal is the...

Effects of Temperature Variations on Precast, Prestressed Concrete Bridge Girders

The monitoring of a precast, prestressed girder bridge during fabrication and service provided the opportunity to observe temperature variations and to evaluate the accuracy of calculated strains and cambers. The use of high curing temperatures during fabrication affects the level of prestress because the strand length is fixed during the heating, the coefficients of thermal expansion of steel ...

Effects of Half-Precast Concrete Slab System on Construction Productivity

A half-precast concrete slab system (HPCSS) is reported to exhibit excellent structural performance when compared with traditional slab systems. However, there is a lack of extant research examining the construction issues of an HPCSS. Thus, in this study, we analyze the construction process and productivity of applying an HPCSS by using a simulation method with the data collected from an actua...
